Tagged

These are some tags from old shopping trips to the Beverly Center. Oh beautiful tags, I love you so. I am such a sucker for them now since working for Guess. I like looking for tags almost more than looking for clothes. You don't have to be dissapointed in the dressing room.

Easter

This weekend went by so fast. Yesterday I drove to Lompoc with Christine for the day for Easter. I was really happy to spend time with my family and enjoy some time out of the city. I sadly forgot the camera :( Dad grilled salmon and we enjoyed homemade ice cream on apple crisp. I borrowed some records from my uncle I'm excited to listen to, but I was dead tired by the time I got home and sort of just fell asleep under the new quilt. Cozy cozy.

Magical Hair Rainbow

If you need a treat, read Christine's myspace blog. It's fantastic. She just posted this wonderful collage of her hairstyles over the years. I think when I met her she had the green hair on the bottom. Currently, she has short brown hair, column 1 row 5. I think. That's the way it looked last time I saw her. Who knows now? When my sister drove her kids up last weekend, Ari got on the phone and asked me if my hair was yellow or black this time so she'd know what to expect. I told her my hair is currently brown, and not died at all. How dull! Live on, hair of Christine, in your beautiful rainbow of glory.

Behold! The Dangle-Paw

Look, I try to stop myself, but I just can't. He is so precious and as you can see here, too fat to fit on his stoop. His rump hangs off and one tiny leg dangles so gracefully. Here's a crappy photo of a great Saul Williams poem I embroidered onto my quilt. Sigh - it's pretty slow at work today and I'm entertaining myself by scoping out sewing project books on Amazon. I understand that given the right conditions and time, how you can become so craft obsessed. I'm reeling in all the great blogs out there, and I begin to understand the craziness that grips Martha Stewart and how she has made crafting her life. Anyway, I think we need to get some more hiking pictures so hopefully we'll be going out next weekend for a hike. Aw crap, next weekend is Easter. Well, at least there is tons of nature at Lompoc and I'll get out of the apartment and clear my head a little.

Volta

OhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygod I can't even wait for Volta! I love Bjork so much...

Weekend photos

This weekend was full of activity. I began it with much working on the quilt, shown here, embroidering and embellishing on the tee shirts. It's now practically done, but for the binding, wich I began last night, but abandoned in my exhaustion.
Elwood got a bath and retreated to his little house to unwind. Here, he peeks through his window.

Lastly, the house was filled with visitors, Laurel - Justin - Ari - Maddie - Katie Blevins + Husband + child. We housed, fed and showered 9 people + Elwood this weekend and then fell into a relaxation coma after they departed for the Tar Pits on Sunday afternoon. Ari found a seat on Elwood's post.
